Thoughts Story 24
1: It would seem that, with today’s topography, that the river that must have overflowed to clog the wheels of the chariots around Mt. Tabor would have to be the Tavor River which flows eastward toward the Jordan River. The Kishon River begins nearer to Mt. Gilboa and flows westward along the southern edge of the Jezreel Valley. The Kishon River has tributaries that come from as far northeast as Nazareth. I do not doubt that the overflow of the Kishon River did clog the wheels of the chariots and brought about the defeat of Sisera, but that the initial effects of the rain were felt around Mt. Tabor with the overflowing of the Tavor River.
