Tiberius Caesar

Tiberius Caesar began his reign at the death of Caesar Augustus on August 19 at the end of the Roman year 766 (which is the modern year of 14 AD). If the days from August 19 through September were considered the “first year” of his reign, then John could begin his ministry after October 1, 27 AD and it would be in the beginning of the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberias.
